I understand the cost of such an action but this is human lives we are talking about. Many test engineers these days working at Google's and Apples of the world or even companies that make life saving equipment are from third party vendors that are hired who have done some 2 week crash course. Doesn’t anyone else find it odd that out of the thousands of flights with these planes, the two crashes involved Indonesia and Ethiopia? I think this will be another case of pilots not knowing the new technology.

  This is what competent leadership looks like. Leaders that choose science-based facts over theories will always be successful. The's been hounded by the Murdoch and right-wing media (80% + media here) with some disgusting ploys and disinformation highly politicized this man has a skin of steel by the way America. The city of Melbourne in the state of Victoria in Australia is in full lockdown has been for a long time now. The city will die. Curfews 9pm till 5am. It’s a movie it’s silent. And the people are getting held hostage? People are not being held hostage, we can still get food, go-to essential work, exercise, and help people that need help. Curfew was needed because too many people were having illegal parties and spreading the virus. In another future pandemic maybe. People have already dug in over the evolution of the attempted mitigation up to now. Doing that would just cause more political volatility.
