My mother was in a nursing home, she got covid. We couldn't visit her. Mum had dementia, she didn't know what was happening. When we finally got to see her, it was behind a screen, poor woman did not know what was happening. The last time I saw her, she held her arms up for a hug. However, because they have support in eastern Ukraine, they might try to secure the area as a 'buffer zone' against any NATO threats, especially if Ukraine is admitted to NATO. How many times has Russia been invaded from the West in the last two centuries?  Maybe they were saving the less violent inmates from getting Covid. That's a plus. Perhaps violent crime rate would be lower if the perpetrator stopped to think about harsher consequences. How many times these criminals don't care of getting caught or even want to get caught because they get 3 square meals, free room and board and play Basketball every day and a mere wrist slap. American prison system are too easy on the convicts!
