I have really been enjoying the women's world cup. It's like men's football if 30 years ago before money and business took the game over. No cheating, no diving no trying to get players booked. Just good honest football. That was until I saw the first five minutes of the France USA game match tonight. Two blatant dives in the penalty area from either team. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Now this is pushing gender equality too far. If they (female) want to ask for more money, they should do that, not comparing skills. How about they’re not wimps like the men who fall and fake an injury at a moments notice. Women's football is boring as hell..even tennis is less boring..also more goals in game is not a good thing..it means defenders/goalkeeper suck. Google the difference between how much money the last men's world cup made, compared to the women's. I'm slightly disappointed. I remember seeing Martha and thought she had nice technique, but in general the ball control and shooting ability I've seen is far lower than even an amateur men's league. If anyone disagrees, feel free to post a link to the best pieces of skill, and the best goals and I'll take my comment back. Women will never be as fast and powerful as men, but women's football could have incredible skill and certain goals like an overhead kick could probably be executed more impressively by a woman. But as it is, it seems like physicality is the dominant force in the game. You know one way it doesn't beat men's football? The fact most of the teams can barely pass the ball. Half these teams, even the so called decent ones, give the ball away more than a National League side near relegation. You know these players at the world cup are on the radio constantly saying don't compare us against the men yet here the shirt is yet again trying to start a gender war. Ive been enjoying watching. If you don't enjoy it don't watch, no ons is forcing anyone to. There are sports I'm not keen on so dont watch but I recognise the effort the players put in so choose not to diminish their efforts and way they play their game just because I dont like it, I just move on to what I prefer. Such negative comments from men I note! When the women have been playing the game as long as men have we shall see. They have already come a long way. Why do they always compare us to men anyway? I would like to see men play world class olympic level netball or synchronised swimming for example! Its been very entertaining so far. Come on England! More male bashing - this has become the biggest spectator sport at the present time - maybe men should charge for it and then we could all retire early. Would you stake your retirement on the women team beating the mens team? Ok, everyone storm the golf course, dig up the lawn, and cover the place in seeds from the plants that are supposed to be there. I lived in Aberdeenshire and loved the sand dunes, so I’d be more than happy to take them back from that orange prat. what happened to sustainable development we all are working for? Our environment should be preserved, we should not do things that will compromise the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs. Golf courses all do that, 99% of them are a waste of space. This is good,but I doubt whether America can let this happen cose by China +Japan means America is out of business. It will create stand off in any way for them to have disagreements. The point is, although there was a bad war between China and Japan at 20th century, two people live close by and have long friendship, more than 1000 years in fact. Militarism once make them hurt each other, but before and after that war, the two people have long good history, and they are neighbors. Why should they stand against each other for the west ideology? Because someone in west just cannot give up imperialism mindset?
