Rock was in the wrong for telling the joke, I don't know Will Smith on a personal level and wouldn't even try to analyse his actions - presumably he and Chris Rock are the only two people who can come to a conclusion about the incident. Meanwhile back in the real world I continue to go to work and concentrate on paying the ever soaring bills. If Will Smiths wife had a peoblem wuth his reaction to Chris Rocks joke she would have said so at the time as a couple surely they are meant to protect each other when someone else does or says something offensive about the other, that said it should have been kept between the 3 of them. If Will Smith is charged with assault, then Chris Rock needs to be charged with hate crime.  Not cool at all. I actually could not continue watching. I couldn’t watch the awkwardness. I didn’t want to hear jokes made about someone being attacked. He should have been escorted out and never should have received an oscar. There’s ways to handle things…this was Not ok at all. Charges should be filed. Just forget about best actor award, he doesnt even deserve to be actor whom we consider idol of youths for bettter tomorrow. He could have talk about it with jada later but not infront of audiences and media as a whole. Well done Will Smith. Chris Rock was bang out of order. All the luvvies are appalled but, they make extremely violent films for us to wallow in ! Telling us all it's a bad example to behave right, then pushing violence to it's limits on the big screen, pure hypocrisy springs to mind. So first he laughs about what Chris says, then he goes up and punches him and he wins the oscar, puts on the waterworks, and says that love makes you do stupid things. Buy it here...

 Mr Rock doesn’t know what Will’s beautiful wife has been through or how she copes so why should he think it’s ok to make those remarks? He may of thought it was harmless comment but not to Will and his wife. Tracey Baddeley never heard of sticks and stones.. obviously neither has Will, there is never ever an excuse to physically assault someone! This is why we have wars. We need to evolve already and big profile people like will need to demonstrate this! Both parties were in the wrong. Chris should apologise to Jada. Will should apologise to all who witnessed this, violence is not the answer. He could have stood and explained his wife has a medical condition and how it affects sufferers, would have been applauded and Chris would have been belittled. Hope people do not now believe hitting is right. These actors/actresses have been laughing at each other’s expense for years at such events.  So why you take properties of rich Russian civilian people who have nothing to do with politics, war and /or Putin. Their only mistake is investing in EU and western countries and got their airplanes and money stolen just because they have Russian passport. How they could trust investing money in EU again! If leaders who are responsible for over million death and destruction of trillions of dollar worth infrastructure in just single country under false pretext didnot have to bear a single charge, I doubt ICC can do anything substantial against Putin. Are there any vital infrastructure that is still standing and are functional in all the NATO invaded countries? And how many civilians have been brought back to life?  Like to see the usual oscar winners or nominee's pull off playing that part! Surely you should be able to play any role as an actor not just the serious parts in order to win an oscar!!! Great comedies don't come along often. And sometimes that could be because the right person wasn't chosen for the part! Originally John Travolta was the first choice to play Forrest Gump! One time on Bill Maher's old show Politically Incorrect he had Steven Bochco and Chevy Chase's guests . Another sad and un necessary loss of life, and I know he was probably following orders but I hold no sympathy for any individual in an army that targets civilian areas killing women, children and even priests!
