 Also this mentality that the "state is like a mother" (heard in the video) is a remainder of the concept about the socialist state. Nowdays NGOs do much more for them, and any other minorities than the state. I am more than sure that you can find other place in the same country people who live in the same conditions with only one difference between them: they do not pretend to be victims and work hard.  Not only the family said no, they also vandalised the ambulance for good measure and the paramedics had to call the cops to be escorted out. Helen As someone who has lived amongs them, they created their desperate situation! Majority of these people do not pay tax to their council, tax on the rubbish collection, no tax on their wages, if they even have them, they refuse to learn at school, instead they marry off at the age of 13 and give birth to children.   Yvonne Hughes , as a friend of mine who lives in the Land of the Long White Cloud, it was easy to close down New Zealand as if you are travelling through there you are a backpacker or lost. The U.K. is a massive hub for travel with a population of around 64 million whereas New Zealand is a tiny island with a population of less than 5 million. They are also struggling badly economy wise.  If this pandemic lasts another year with the same stupid lockdowns to these 2 million people supposed to have died of covid in the whole world we must add the 200 million people who already lost their jobs in 2020 and another 200 million people who will lose their jobs this year and once with them 600 million children without enough food , with no school access,practically without future.  You should all be very proud of yourselves, and I personally am extraordinarily grateful to you all. My husband and I have now had both of ours. He had his in January’s first wave and it was Pfizer, while I had mine yesterday and it was the AstraZeneca. He had no problem whatsoever, but I’ve had a sore arm. The whole operation was fantastic and it was really comforting to be treated by staff from our local practice. Everything should be organised like that, because the local staff know their patients and viceversa. Thank you everyone. The UK is doing a great job with its vaccination program and, judging from some of the harebrained comments here, can also expect an overall increase in the average IQ of its citizens in the next few years as the non-medical Drs on this site succumb to Covid having avoided the deadly vaccine.  I'm a cleaner & worked through the whole pandemic over 12 hours daily. Still cleaning but have slowed down as 5 months pregnant so I won't be allowed the vaccine but I really don't mind. Most vulnerable need to be protected first & other front line staff. can you honestly say a healthy 30 yr old working in a shop should get it before someone who is 50 with a serious illness? Yes the 30 yr old could be able to no longer infect the 50 yr old. But others still can, if the one at risk of death has it, they protected from everyone! I understand frustration, not everyone can be first, and It should always be more at risk of death first! You would not go into an A&E with a cut on your arm, and expect them to see before the person in an ambulance having a heart attack would you?  Paula Elvidge 'severe' asthma is a particular type of asthma. There are many of us who have daily struggles to manage our asthma but we are not considered to have severe asthma. We are the ones removed from the top 9 priority list having been number 6 previously! Alyssa Mason oh my goodness! Surely your surgery should have you registered as clinically extremely vulnerable? I have asthma but no other issues. I am 62 & was told I was in group 4 for the vaccine I was lucky enough to have the first one two weeks ago. Maybe time to contact your surgery again? I've searched asthma uk for the info, and the only information i can find is that people with mild asthma are not in the top groups as they are at less risk, those moderate, severe and those that have poor control over there asthma will still be offered the vaccine, again it deppends on medication/treatment for asthma and if in the last 12 months you have been in hospital.  Buy it here: ...
